CANARY WHARF CROSSRAIL

SLD are proud to have assisted with the delivery of Canary Wharf Crossrail Roof Garden, we were selected by Blakedown SE & Canary Wharf Contractors due to our project delivery expertise to provide Stage 5-6 construction and builders work drawings for Gillespies innovative design.  Crossrail Place sits almost exactly on the Meridian line and the planting is arranged according to which hemisphere they are from with Asian plants such as bamboos to the east, and plants such as ferns from the Americas to the west. We produced a series of sectional drawings for the onsite build and specific details for the amphitheatre, weir systems, sub-soil build-ups and bespoke interface fixing details.  The project involved working collaboratively with the contractors and the designers to deliver a successful project.  The Space Theatre uses the 80-seater performance space which ignites the imaginations of children and adults alike and deliver they performances of music, dance and theatre regularly.
