GOODMAYES HOSPITAL REDBRIDGE

The project forms part of the overall Goodmayes Hospital site part of which is in the greenbelt and environmentally sensitive as it adjoins a conservation area.  SLD along with Devereux were commissioned by the Trust initially to locate a new Mental Health Unit in the grounds on the Goodmayes Hospital site.  From inception the team worked with the end user group and the new build was set around a series of courtyards which had separate functions asscoaited with the adjoining wards.  After a long planning process the scheme was procured by Kier Construction who retained the original design team through to implementation.  SLD were commissioned separately by the Trust to provide a landscape management for the site post construction.
