CHRIST CHURCH PRIMARY SCHOOL SURBITON

SLD were initially approached by the school directly to overcome a drainage issue on the only area of open grass space they had, the school had limited play facilities and no sport facilities.  We looked at some initial ideas with the head teacher and developed a concept for a full size Multi Use Games Area, which was named 'field of dreams'. Images and concepts were used to gain funding from Kingston Council when extending number of classes sizes in Key Stage 3.  New access arrangements were required through the adjoining Club which were carefully negotiated.  Post completion of the MUGA, Surbiton Racket and Fitness Club and Surbiton Hockey Club set school lessons on the MUGA and have transformed the school in their sporting achievements.
