STONE STUDIOS HACKNEY WICK

Stone Studios is a micro-neighbourhood of distinct buildings between Victoria Park and the Queen Elizabeth Park. The site is next to Hackney Wick Overground station, in the heart of the new neighbourhood centre. London Legacy Development Corporation are shaping and promoting the site through its Hackney `Wick central masterplan. Built on the site of a former metalworks, the development features a new public piazza, a vibrant area for active street frontages and new retailers, cafés and restaurants. The scheme included both semi private courtyard for residents and new public realm space connecting to the station.  SLD coordinated bio-diverse net gain and Urban Greening, bespoke play including sculptural elements to the site's historical past as a metalworks.
