Community Garden Workshop, Boyd Court Regeneration Project

SLD recently carried out a community garden workshop at Boyd Court Bracknell one of our housing regeneration schemes.  As part of our social value promise to our client we presented community garden proposals to residents and discussed the benefits and the opportunities that a community garden could provide to the local community both,  young and old.  We managed to get some valuable feedback which will be incorporated into the scheme for construction and managed to recruit 3 green champions to help manage the garden going forward.   The proposed new external works includes a central play park, bin storage improvements, bio-diverse planting and a new community garden designed with the residents offering garden plots.  The scheme is out to tender and hopes to start on site in mid-September 24.
